ABOUT DR JAMIE YUEN YI LAM
Jamie (Yuen Yi Lam) is a recent PhD graduate from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Monash University, Melbourne, Australia. Her research focused on metabolic glycan labelling in the intestine for prolonged targeting of particles after oral drug administration.
Academically, Jamie received the Honours Research Scholarship in 2018 and the Faculty Postgraduate Scholarship in 2019-2023. She conducted research in labs globally, including in the United States, Israel, Copenhagen, and Sweden. Jamie has two first-author publications and is finalising another manuscript for her review. Jamie possesses expertise in cell culture, confocal microscopy (Nikon and Leica systems), flow cytometry, HPLC, and LCMS. She has experience in animal work, and ethics application processes, and has presented her research at various conferences.
During her time at Monash, Jamie worked as a teaching associate, primarily in units covering HPLC and pharmaceutical product development. In her role as the Vice President of the Parkville Postgraduate Association (PPA), Jamie organised educational workshops and chaired the HDR symposium, a campus-wide event promoting collaboration and knowledge exchange.
